The Vertical Experience Podcast

Pastor Gerald L. Pierce is a psalmist, teacher of the gospel, and gifted musician. His first musical experience began when he was four years old. By the time he was eight years old, he and his brother and two sisters had formed a group, the Pierce Singers, and traveled widely throughout the tri-state area singing and playing gospel music. At his childhood church, First Pentecostal Holy Church in Chester, young Gerald was instrumental in establishing a 50-voice Youth Choir while still attending high school.

After graduating high school, Gerald was offered a 4 year music scholarship by the Delaware State University, but decided to follow a call on his life and went on to study at Faith School of Theology in Charleston, Maine. Upon graduating he was invited to join the faculty and remained there two years as the Director of Music, teaching music and biblical studies to undergraduates. Later, Pastor Pierce earned a bachelors degree in Christian Ministry at Chesapeake Bible College and Seminary where he is presently enrolled in the Masters program for Theological Studies.

Pastor Pierce previously served as a church Elder as well as an administrator of the Men’s Network and Director of the Celebration Arts Ministry at Life in Christ Cathedral of Faith in Chester, Pa. After serving there for 15 years under his spiritual father, Bishop Dickie Robbins, in 2007, Pastor Pierce, assisted by a chosen few, planted Holy Hill Worship Center in Middletown, Delaware.

In addition to his former service at L.I.C., and his pastorate at HHWM, Inc, Pastor Pierce writes, arranges, and publishes his original music under G.L.Pierce Publishing. He has released two Live worship recordings, “Let It Rain” and “I’ll Still Worship” as well as a single, “It’s Who You Are”. He has also written music for several other artists including “Fear Not”, “Peace” “Transparent” and other songs for the nationally acclaimed, Wilmington Chester Mass Choir, as well as Drexel University Gospel Choir, Glenda Bailey, and the late Ernie Saunders.

Pastor Pierce has had the honor of serving as a faculty member and mass choir director for the International Worship Institute in Dallas, Texas with worship leaders such as Lamar Boschman, Morris Chapman, Apostle John W. Stevenson, Bishop Joseph Garlington, and renowned worship leader/artist, William McDowell.

Pastor Pierce shares his God-given wisdom concerning true worship with churches, and ministries around the country and occasionally abroad through workshops, seminars, and concerts. His hearts desire is to be used by Holy Spirit to stir up a passion in the hearts of the church for the Bridegroom, the Lord Jesus Christ.
Pastor Pierce says, ”If I should leave before the rapture of the church, I want to leave behind a legacy of worship, prayer and the scriptures that will bring the Name of the Lord the highest praise and greatest glory…glory that covers the earth as the waters cover the sea!!”
